The Royal Mail Ship Lusitania

After Titanic RMS Lusitania is one of the world’s most famous sunken ships.The ship sank in 1915 when a German submarine fired a torpedo into her during the World War I killing most of the 1198 passengers present on the ship at that time .

Her wreck lies in 300 feet of water .In 1982 three of our propellers were removed . Since then the British government has made several unsuccessful attempts to stop salvaging.This ship was carrying 4 million rounds of ammunition and that is why Germany targeted her.
