Why should we take COVID seriously!

We should take covid lot more seriously than flu or other diseases because how quickly it spreads. To understand this we need to understand a bit of maths. 

Most common diseases like flu etc. do spread through contact. However once a person gets symptoms, such person would normally stay at home or seek medical care. For normal flu the symptoms are quick to emerge and hence the person quickly seeks medical care and avoids spreading the infection further. 

With COVID however case is different. Most people dont get ANY symptoms or get only mild symptoms for first 14 days. During these 14 days they might travel and do the normal things spreading the virus without their knowledge. Because of this by the time we realize there are 1000 humans who are infected they have already infected another 10000 humans in last 14 days. 

This means there is a chance that almost half of global population could get infected by COVID. If we do not do anything around 50M people could do die world over. 

We all need to work together to make sure we avoid all these deaths
