Brinicles
When surface of sea freezes it forces pockets of cold and salty sea water to gather on the underside of the ice.This mixture is denser than the seawater below it and as a result it slowly sinks to the bottom .Since it is so cold the fresher water below it actually freezes around it which makes a giant icicle around the surface.
