Nehru took away free speech rights from Indian Constitution
Jawaharlal Nehru did not like free speech as a right for Indian citizens. He wanted to ban RSS magazine Organiser and few other communist magazines. Since constitution could not let him do it he amended the constitution to take away free speech from Indian citizens.
Nehru personally introduced 1st amendment to Indian constitution that took away free speech as a right from Indian citizens and converted it into "Free speech as long as government approves".
Countless people have been jailed and troubled since then in our country.
