Firaaq (2008)

Another film which was based on the Gujrat Riots, Firaaq was supposedly based on true incidents that happened during Gujrat riots. Nandita Das was criticised for hurting hindu and muslim sentiments and hence the movie got banned.However ultimately the movie was released and praised equally by critics and audiences.
